WBAL—Stop the Bleed Campaign Aims to Teach Critical Life Saving Skills

OEI’s military grade casualty care simulators were once again in the news this week, this time in a segment that appeared on Baltimore’s WBAL 11pm news with lead anchor Deborah Weiner. The segment featured a powerful story of an attorney who was struck by a bus in New Jersey and had both legs severed. She would not have survived had it not been for the quick arrival of a law enforcement officer who was able to apply tourniquets to both legs and cut off the loss of blood thereby saving her life. In the segment, CEO and President, Mick Navin demonstrates how OEI’s trauma simulators are able to provide an ultra-realistic training environment for point of injury care to develop both the confidence and skills to be prepared for real-life emergencies.
