C-Celia enables hands-on training in full transverse or vertical emergency C-sections — including incision and closure of the abdominal wall, muscle, fascia, linea, and uterus. Learners practice instrument-assisted delivery, delivery of the placenta, and teamwork and human factors skills essential to emergency Caesarean scenarios, all with a lifelike baby, placenta, and simulated amniotic fluid.
Each C-Celia system ships with the C-Section simulator base assembly, two C-Section uteri, five foam abdomens, two small babies, silicone glue, a 16 oz bottle of lubricant, 100 amniotic bags with ties, and a spare hardware kit — everything needed to begin training right out of the box.
Yes. C-Celia is designed for repeated use. After each training session, incisions in the uterus, umbilical cord, and foam abdomen can be repaired in minutes using the included silicone glue. Most repairs dry in about 25 minutes — or in as little as 5 minutes with a hairdryer or heat gun. Replacement parts, including uteri, foam abdomens, and babies, are also available.
Simply wipe the simulator clean with mild soap and water — the entire model can even be rinsed with a hose. After every session, remove all lubricant with a warm, damp cloth or baby wipes, drain any fluid from the abdominal cavity, and air-dry all parts thoroughly before storage. Always use only OEI-supplied lubricant and simulated blood to protect the silicone components.
